Raised in Ohio but made the voyage to Atlanta in 2000 to attend Spelman College and never left. She has a degree in Economics and Spanish from Spelman and a 15 plus year career in marketing and sales. Lauren has worked for big companies such as Pfizer, Express Scripts and Straumann Group. Outside of her corporate career she is a 10 year entrepreneur who launched her own outdoor bootcamp in 2008 which turned into her fitness empire she calls Total Fitness Revolution located just outside of Atlanta. Lauren is an avid lifter, former figure model, CrossFit Coach, nutrition educator, spin instructor, fitness coach and BOSS to her 30 employees at the gym.

She had recurring appearances on a TV show called Sister Circle on TV one, she has been featured in Bossip, Rolling Out, Essence and Health magazine. Lauren is a managing partner of a privately owned multi million dollar medical marketing agency based out of Chicago. Lauren is a coach in a high level mastermind with Mindshare 365 and she is also a private business coach for individuals looking to start up or grow new businesses. Lastly Lauren was on the faculty at Spelman College in the Wellness Department and has been a consultant to Morehouse School of Medicine to help them grow their wellness program.

Lauren calls herself a "corporate thug" and an entrepreneurial "dragon slayer," coaching clients and lecturing nationally. Be on the lookout for her business coaching self-help book entitled "Entrepreneurship SUCKS!"

Lastly, she's been happily married for over 7 years to her husband Jamal Powers and has two precocious boys Jackson (7) and Langston Powers (5).
