Summer Bock

Health Coach, Herbalist, Fermentationist

I grew up in the South with a strong connection to the natural world. I enjoyed many long plant walks through the woods as a little girl, my mother leading the way with knowledge overflowing, and my sister and I trailing behind, chewing our “medicinal” twigs.

At 21, I found myself studying Herbal Medicine in New Mexico. After getting certified, I continued my education at The Evergreen State College in Washington state where I completed a B.S. in Nutrition and a B.A. Music Production.

I’m dedicated to helping people make the changes necessary to create amazing health and well-being through balanced intestinal flora.

My focus is on helping the health-seekers or vitalists. Those of you out there who have already begun the process of cracking open nutrition books and experimenting in the kitchen with gluten-free grains.

My specialties are almost all based on balancing the intestinal flora and improving digestion: ridding the body of Candida, allergies, chemical sensitivities, digestive disorders, and many other annoying health concerns that you have otherwise shrugged off as a normal part of life. It’s not. I know you can do something about it. And all it takes is changing your diet and cleaning up the toxins.

I received my training and certification to practice Health Coaching at the largest nutrition school in the US, the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). IIN is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods. Some of my teachers were Deepak Choprah MD, Andrew Weil MD, David Wolfe and Paul Pitchford.

I am also certified through Columbia University in Integrative Nutrition.
